Fact of the Day More Information In the early 1970s, a Czechoslovakian airline was under the threat of terrorism from a fascist group in the country. Vesna Vulovic was a stewardess with the airline who happened to be on a targeted flight.
Long story short, the plane was blown up in midair and fell 33,330 feet to the ground. The man who found the crash searched for survivors and found only one, Vesna Vulovic. Of course she was badly bruised complete with a cracked skull and paralysis below the waist. Even more amazingly, she awoke from a coma and started her way unto completing a full recovery. She even flew on planes after the incident which she has no recollection of due to amnesia.
