Fact of the Day More Information For those uncomfortable with what may follow, just bear with me. Joseph Pujol accidentally found out one day that he a more than 2 liter capacity for flatulence. He would perform for his friends until he was pushed to bring his act to the larger audiences.
He claimed that his flatulence was odorless because of his constant colon cleaning. The act caught on as Parisian audiences were besides themselves with laughter after each act performed by Le Petomane.
The act included fart impressions: timid girls, fabric cutters, etc. It concluded with cigarette smoking from the performing end as well as instrument playing.
