Fact of the Day

More Information

A recent account of someone dying on an airplane left a British Airways crew straggling for a place to put a deceased woman flying all the way from India to England. This story made the news because of a where she was ultimately placed: first class. A passenger who paid upwards of $6000 for his first-class ticket was awaken by the flight attendants' decision to plop the woman a few chairs down the row. Talk about a last minute decision. Appropriately or not, the man was not notified until he asked about the situation after noticing her fall through the seat belt. The grieving relatives were also placed with the victim [source].
Singapore Airlines has special lockers designated for deceased passengers. You don't want to walk in to one of those thinking it's the bathroom [source].
Ironically, the newest complaint about the airline industry is how they seem to have a strict dress code all of a sudden. A man was told to remove his "Masterbaiter" fishing T-shirt with no prior announcement of such a dress code [source]. A woman in a spaghetti strap shirt was given an oversized T-shirt by the airline to embarrassingly wear on top of it or not fly altogether.
