Fact of the Day More Information The Dayak have traded in heads for a long time. At one point the tribes economy was mainly run by the practice. Suitors would slay and present heads of enemies to win the rights to a wife. The island of Madura was becoming too overpopulated in the early 1990s and people started to flow into Dayak territory.
