Fact of the Day More Information American psychic Edgar Cayce once predicted that evidence of the lost city of Atlantis would be found in the Caribbean in the 1960s. In 1968 an underwater road-like formation of rocks was discovered off the coast of Bimini (in the Florida Atlantic) and recently what seemed to be stone anchors with tool markings.
Another modern theory has us believe that the island of Cyprus (off the coast of Greece in the Mediterranean) was once the island of Atlantis before the Atlantic had spilled over into the sea's basin. With this in mind, many parts of the ancient island have since been naturally submerged. Robert Sarmast claims to have found the horizontal irrigation canal described by Plato in topographic pictures taken off the coast of modern day Cyprus. View All Facts View Images View Maps Blog
